Beyond its green core business, Elicio makes strong efforts in the field of sustainability.

In particular, the care Elicio shows for its employees stands out. Staff are allowed to bring their dogs to work, there is a focus on psychosocial support, and initiatives are in place to foster engagement and involvement.

“At Elicio, we naturally make many efforts when it comes to sustainability,” says Joeri Vanbelle of Elicio. One of the most striking areas in which Elicio is actively investing is employee care.

We don’t just want to sell a sustainable product, we want to be sustainable ourselves.

“Elicio operates in a fascinating but competitive sector, where you are often dependent on factors that employees do not always have control over,” says Vanbelle. “The lead time of some projects can run to eight years or even longer. That is not always easy for employees.”

“By offering appropriate psychosocial support, we aim to lower the threshold for mental health care,” he continues. “That support does not need to be strictly work‑related. As long as there is an impact on our employees’ work performance, a support or coaching pathway can be considered.”

At the initiative of several employees, dogs are welcome at the office. “We have provided a kennel where the dogs can stay during the day, allowing them to enjoy each other’s company. In addition, employees can take their dogs for a walk during their lunch break, giving them a chance to get some fresh air themselves as well.”
